Can I do this?

Yes, you can! Fundraising and fitness training may sound intimidating, but we’re here to get you across the finish line. We’ll call you regularly with advice, ideas and encouragement—you are not in this alone.

Remember, you are raising money for a wonderful cause and training for the challenge of a lifetime!

How much do I need to fundraise and how do I do it?

The fundraising target is typically $10,000 for our marathons. You are not alone, you will also have regular support from the Inspired team, who will help you develop and manage your fundraising plan and call you every 3 weeks to keep on track. You’ll also have support from the charity.

Past participants have successfully fundraised in many creative and fun ways. We will send you a comprehensive Fundraising Toolkit upon registration full of ideas to help you reach your target.

How fit do I need to be?

This adventure is ranked 5/5 (challenging).

Running a marathon is a physical challenge. The fitter you are, the more you will enjoy the experience. This challenge is specifically designed for people who are relatively fit and willing to train. We recommend that upon registration, you consult your GP or a personal trainer to develop a marathon training plan. Walking, cycling, running and stair climbing will all strengthen your legs and improve stamina.
