Join Edgar’s Mission Sumatra 2021 and raise vital funds for the sanctuary so that they can continue to provide a haven for rescued farm animals, promoting kindness and providing them with the life they deserve.

On this 9 day adventure, you will be immersed in the beauty of the Sumatran Jungle. You’ll spend four days trekking through the Gunung Leuser National Park -a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the last places on earth where the Sumatran orangutans are found in the wild. Beginning your journey in the bustling city of Medan, you’ll stop by the Sumatran orangutan Conservation Programme (SOCP) how conservationists are protecting these incredible creatures.

As you are left no doubt utterly captivated by this unique ecosystem, you’ll learn about the other flora and fauna that call the region home – from the Sumatran tiger and Sumatran rhinoceros, gibbons and tapir. While you follow a well-defined path of lush forestry, be on the lookout for any wildlife. As you rest beneath the stars at the end of the day, be lulled to sleep by the sounds of nature around you.

Best of all, as you discover this incredible part of the world, you’ll be raising much needed funds to support Edgar’s Mission as they work to create a humane and just world for all.
