Join SANE Australia on this year’s Vietnam Challenge and walk hand in hand with people affected by complex mental illness.

When else can you discover the ever-changing landscapes and colourful culture of Vietnam while raising vital funds for one of Australia’s leading mental health charities, SANE Australia?

As part of this adventure, you will trek through exquisite countryside, into seemingly endless bamboo forest and along mountain paths high above the valley floor. At night you will stay in small mountain villages, experiencing the traditional hospitality of Vietnam’s diverse ethnic groups.

With your challenge complete, you will board an overnight train back to Hanoi, falling asleep to the rhythm of the railroad.

Waking in the country’s capital as the city comes to life around you, you will embark on a guided half-day city tour of Hanoi, from the 11th century Temple of Literature to the picturesque Ngoc Son Temple.

Prepare for a feast for the senses as you embrace the sights, sounds and smells of this intoxicating country, every step taken, every kilometre covered, revealing a new splendour.

All money raised in the Vietnam Challenge will go towards funding SANE’s Help Centre.

The Help Centre provides professional support to the Australian public through an 1800 free call helpline; the SANE online forums; and via email and chat functions.

In 2016 the SANE Help Centre answered more than 13,000 calls from individuals, carers and families looking for information, support, and referral.  The Help Centre receives no government funding and relies completely on the generosity of our donors.

For just $50, you will allow SANE to pick up the phone and make a real difference to the life of someone affected by complex mental illness. In fact, it could just be the call that saves a life.
