Sophia came to feel passionately about human rights and social justice through her university studies in psychology and criminology. This deepened during the completion of her honours thesis on Indigenous offending and intergenerational trauma last year.

While her love for travel was ignited when she took a semester off to backpack Europe, it was the time she spent in South East Asia and Central America (along with her studies) that strengthened her commitment to assist with bettering the lives and opportunities of others. She is excited to work for an organisation that allows her to support people along their journey to achieving both of these incredible things.

Her adventure highlight would be climbing Volcano Acatenango in Guatemala and watching the sun rise over Antigua at the summit. In her spare time, you can find Sophia stretched out on the beach with a good book, or enjoying a glass of wine with friends.

“I never travel without my diary. One should always have something sensational to read in the train.” – Oscar Wilde
