ABOUT OVARIAN CANCER AUSTRALIA
Ovarian Cancer Australia takes action for people affected by ovarian cancer in Australia through the provision of Support, Awareness, Advocacy and Research programs. Our vision is to save lives and to ensure that no woman with ovarian cancer walks alone.
Our recently launched 25/25 Vision campaign aims to reduce the incidence of ovarian cancer by 25% and improve the five year survival rate of ovarian cancer by 25% by 2025.
1400 women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer and 1000 women die from the disease each year. Ovarian cancer is a poor prognosis cancer with a five year survival rate of just 43%.
