Hunter Homeless Connect is a volunteer, not-for-profit organisation, whose focus is primarily to connect people in need in the community, with essential resources and support. Their mission is to create an inclusive environment without judgement, and to facilitate a community response to homelessness.
Hunter Homeless Connect provides opportunities for people who are experiencing homelessness, severe housing stress, or those at risk of homelessness to access support services in a way that recognises their inherent dignity, reduces social isolation and encourages a sense of connection with their community. This connection is provided via their annual Hunter Homeless Connect Day event, Connecting the Hunter program and the regular distribution of their Community Services Directory.
