The Difference You'll Make

Agape Logo - Sept 2019

Agape Outreach Inc. is at the forefront of making a tangible difference in the lives of those struggling with poverty.

With a mission deeply rooted in the belief that everyone deserves a chance to improve their quality of life, Agape tirelessly works to uplift individuals and their families out of dire circumstances. By providing over 1,000 meals weekly and daily support to up to 150 people in need, Agape is a beacon of hope, offering not just food, but a comprehensive support system. This includes life coaching, clothing, blankets, furniture, assistance with medical appointments, court cases, housing applications, and essential referrals.

Looking ahead, Agape aims to expand its support by providing housing, furthering its commitment to those in need.

The organisation's efforts extend beyond basic needs, they offer access to showers, laundry facilities, hairdressing services, and basic life skills classes, addressing both immediate and long-term needs. Each hot meal costs just $1.80, and a mere $60 can supply a family with a food hamper, making every dollar donated a step towards restoring dignity and hope.

As Agape Outreach embarks on their Philippines experience, including swimming with whale sharks and visiting local areas, this initiative is not just an adventure, it's a call to action.

The funds raised through this challenge will directly impact the lives of those Agape serves, offering them a chance to move forward physically and emotionally. Join us in this life-changing experience and together, we can be the change that gives individuals and families the support they need to rise above their circumstances and embark on a new chapter of their lives.

How many people will be on my adventure?

We believe small group travel is better for the planet, and better for you. Our adventures average between 10 - 20 participants, connected by their commitment to the greater good.

Of course, most people do! Throughout your adventure journey, we will connect you with your fellow adventurers so you can get to know each other before you hit the road.

What is the general age range of participants?

The minimum age for this adventure is 18, however younger ages are considered on application. We have had participants aged 16–84+ take part in our challenges, all united by their sense of philanthropy and adventure.

I have dietary requirements, will I be catered for?

Of course, we will happily arrange for any dietary requirements you’ve noted during booking to be catered for. Please advise your local guide on Day 1 as well. You will be fed very well while you’re on the adventure, but if you have a very specific dietary requirement or severe allergies, often it’s best to pack some extra things as back-up.

How do I train for this adventure?

We will provide you with information on how to prepare for your adventure when you register. There is no set hiking involved in this itinerary, but you will be up on your feet, from early in the day until the late afternoon.

You will also be volunteering in the Payatas Dump, which could be taxing on your body.

It is sensible to start training and preparing as early as possible before you go on your adventure.

If you fail to raise the minimum fundraising target by this time, we will review the situation on a case-by-case basis.
