The Difference You'll Make
Each year in Australia, over 7,000 women and girls are diagnosed with gynaecological cancer. Almost one in three will not survive. Cherish Women’s Cancer Foundation exists to change this reality by funding patient-centred medical research and clinical trials that lead to earlier detection, kinder treatments and better outcomes - now and for generations to come.
This is your invitation to help create that change.
Join Cherish Foundation on an unforgettable fundraising trek through Patagonia’s Torres del Paine National Park. Over six days, you’ll trek approximately 60 kilometres through soaring granite peaks, turquoise lakes, vast valleys and ancient glaciers, while raising vital funds for life-changing research.
Beginning in the colourful port town of Puerto Natales, the journey leads into the heart of the park, with nights spent beneath the iconic Towers. Highlights include a catamaran crossing of Lake Pehoé, a hike into the dramatic Valle Francés, a scenic walk along Lake Grey with views of the immense Grey Glacier, and the iconic ascent through Ascencio Valley to the base of the Three Towers.
This is more than a bucket-list adventure. Every dollar raised helps deliver better care, dignity and futures for women and girls. Add years to her life and life to her years.

Trip notes
In the morning, you’ll be picked up from Puerto Natales airport and driven to EcoCamp Patagonia, located in the world-famous Torres del Paine National Park. On the way, we’ll make a stop in Puerto Natales, a small, lively town on the shores of Last Hope Sound (Ultima Esperanza) "Seno de Ultima Esperanza," where we can enjoy a hearty lunch of local food. The journey is scenic and highly atmospheric and features many wild birds and wonderful Patagonian landscapes. The day ends with our arrival and overnight stay at EcoCamp Patagonia, nestled in the heart of Torres del Paine National Park and with a prime view of the majestic Towers. We gather for our first team briefing and enjoy dinner together.

Today is our first full day of adventures in Torres del Paine! After a hearty breakfast, we'll head to Pudeto dock, catch a catamaran to Pehoe, and then embark on a steep trek to Valle Francés in the Paine Massif's core. The distance covered depends on our pace, with a quick walk bringing us to a hanging bridge over the French River at the Massif's southeastern base, offering spectacular valley views. Continuing to the valley's upper section, we'll marvel at its vast geological formations before pausing for a picnic amidst the breathtaking scenery. The trek concludes with a descent through varied terrain to Refugio Paine Grande, peacefully nestled by Lake Pehoe.

In the morning, we'll hike from Paine Grande Refugio along the shores of Lake Pehoe to the northern side of the glacially beautiful Lake Grey. We'll feast on a picnic lunch before boarding the boat that sails right to the facade of Glacier Grey. Take in the unreal views of this beautiful glacier, while sipping on a drink stocked with fresh glacier ice. After finishing our boat ride, we'll take a transfer back to EcoCamp.
*Boat trips are subject to cancellation if fewer than 10 passengers are booked. In such cases, we'll instead hike to a viewpoint for glacier vistas, before walking back to Paine Grande for a catamaran ride and transfer to EcoCamp.

The goal of this day will be completing the most famous trekking trail in Torres del Paine. It's a challenge, but definitely worth it! From the campsite, we journey towards Hostería Las Torres, ascending to Ascencio Valley's eastern edge. Our path, framed by mountain ridges, beech forests, and streams, leads to a challenging steep moraine. This boulder-strewn climb rewards us with the iconic view of the Towers, three towering granite structures, remnants of ancient glacial activity. At their base, we’re treated to a majestic sight and a perfect lunch spot beside a glacial lake. We then retrace our steps through Ascencio Valley, returning to EcoCamp for dinner and Chilean wine.

This morning, we say good-bye to Torres del Paine National Park and board an early morning vehicle for our scenic drive back to Puerto Natales. We enjoy a guided visit to the Milodon Cave, an archaeological site that was declared a historical Natural Monument - a large fascinating cave that once housed artifacts from the earliest inhabitants of the area. Among the treasures discovered are cave paintings and fossil remains of megafauna such as the Milodon Sloth, Saber-Toothed Tiger, and Hippidion saldiasi horse. Tonight, we celebrate our achievements over dinner at a local restaurant in Puerto Natales.

How challenging is this adventure?
This adventure is ranked 3.5/5. While no extensive trekking experience is required prior to registering, our adventures are specifically designed for people who are relatively fit and willing to train. The Patagonia trek is a physically demanding challenge, involving 58 km of trekking over three days, with the trek to the base of the Towers (day 4) being the most challenging. The fitter and healthier you are, the more you'll enjoy the experience. The weather can be the most challenging factor, but is manageable with good equipment. You'll be well supported on the adventure, with the guides and your team all cheering you on. You’re free to move at your own pace and we’ll take frequent breaks.
How many people will be on my adventure?
We believe small group travel is better for the planet, and better for you. Our adventures average between 10 - 18 participants, connected by their commitment to the greater good.
Can I join an Inspired Adventure on my own?
Of course, most people do! Throughout your adventure journey, we’ll connect you with your fellow adventurers so you can get to know each other before you hit the road.
What is the general age range of participants?
The minimum age for this adventure is 18, however younger ages are considered on application. We have had participants aged 16–84+ take part in our challenges, all united by their sense of philanthropy and adventure.
Do I have to carry my own bag?
On most adventures, you'll only need to carry a day bag with essentials for your day of activities. Your luggage/big backpacks will either stay at your accommodation, be transferred to your next accommodation, or will be carried by porters.

How do I train for this adventure?
We will provide you with information on how to prepare for your adventure when you register. In addition, we recommend that you consult your GP and a personal trainer to develop a training plan that will prepare you for the challenge.
As part of your training, we recommend making use of your free time to complete several day hikes. You should aim to be able to walk in hilly terrain for 6-8 hours comfortably and get up and do it again the next day.
It is sensible to start training as early as possible before you go on your trek.
What is the accommodation like?
During the trek, you will stay in EcoCamp Standard Domes based on twin-share with shared bathrooms (3 nights) and in twin-share tents (1 night). If an upgrade to the National Park ‘Refugio’ instead of camping has been requested for the group, this will be confirmed in June/July prior to departure. If this is the case, accommodation in the refugio will be in multi-share dorms with shared bathrooms. On the last night in Puerto Natales, accommodation will be in a 3-star hotel with ensuite bathrooms based on twin-share. You can expect all the usual amenities at the accommodation, such as hot water, good food and basic toiletries.
Will I be sharing accommodation?
Accommodation on this adventure is based on twin-share (multi-share in the refugio). You will be paired with a teammate of the same gender and, whenever possible, age group. Single rooms are available at an additional cost and subject to availability.
I’m travelling with a friend, can we stay together?
Absolutely! If you’re travelling with a friend, please make note of this and we’ll pair you together.
I have dietary requirements, will I be catered for?
Of course, we’ll happily arrange for any dietary requirements you’ve noted during booking to be catered for. Please advise your local guide on Day 1 as well. You'll be fed very well while you’re on the adventure, but if you have a very specific dietary requirement or severe allergies, often it’s best to pack some extra things as back-up.
How is my luggage transported?
You will only need to carry a day-pack with you each day. Your main luggage will be transported between accommodation for you.

I’m travelling with a friend, can we fundraise together?
