The Difference You'll Make
An estimated 266,000 Australians live with epilepsy and 1 in 26 Australians will be diagnosed with epilepsy in their lifetime. Every day, Australians living with epilepsy face challenges that extend far beyond seizures. The impact is often experienced not only by the individual, but also by the families, friends and carers who support them. Too often these experiences are invisible.
Epilepsy Action Australia exists to improve and save the lives of people living with epilepsy, and every step you take on this adventure helps ensure no one faces epilepsy alone.
Summit for Epilepsy takes place in March, a special month for Epilepsy Action Australia as we celebrate our 75th anniversary and build momentum towards International Purple Day on 26 March, a global movement dedicated to raising awareness, reducing stigma and increasing understanding of epilepsy.
This adventure is more than a trek. It's an opportunity to summit Australia’s highest peak, raise awareness of epilepsy and make a meaningful difference. Every dollar raised will help Epilepsy Action Australia provide vital support, education and services to people living with epilepsy and their families as well as invest in research to improve treatments and outcomes.
