A Journey with purpose
Walk for Women is a fundraising adventure designed exclusively for women - a chance to rise before the sun, summit mainland Australia's highest peak, and look out over the Snowy Mountains knowing every step you took raised vital funds for a cause close to your heart.
You'll join like-minded women from across the country for a pre-dawn ascent of Mt Kosciuszko, arriving at the summit just as the sun rises. It's the kind of experience that's hard to describe and impossible to forget.
We've partnered with a selection of leading women's causes - so you can walk for the one that matters most to you. Every dollar you raise goes directly to your chosen charity.

Trip notes
Today, make your way to Perisher for the start of our adventure. You need to arrive by 5 pm (check-in is from 3 pm) - in time for our welcome drink and team briefing to discuss why we are all here and prepare us to summit mainland Australia’s highest mountain. Following this, we enjoy an early evening meal together. We are heading to bed early to be ready to summit Mt Kosciuszko tonight.
Accommodation: Mountain lodge

Tonight is the night! This is where we start our journey. We depart our accommodation in Perisher around 3 am to transfer to Charlotte Pass. We walk with head torches under a star-filled sky towards the summit of Mt Kosciuszko and plan to get there in time to watch a spectacular sunrise. What an achievement! On the way down, we want our cameras ready to capture Australia’s highest mountains, historic huts, weathered snow gums and rock formations. Walking amongst wildflowers and glacial lakes, we make our way back to Perisher. During the afternoon, we can chill out at the Wild Brumby Distillery near Lake Crackenback, and the more energetic trekkers among us can take a short walk to Rainbow Lake (4 km return, optional). Tonight, we will be treated to a delicious 2-course meal at the lodge to celebrate a job well done.

The Mount Kosciuszko trek is a physical challenge, and the fitter you are, the more you will enjoy the experience.
You will be well supported on the adventure, with the guides and your team all cheering you on. You are free to move at your own pace and we will take frequent breaks.

Of course, we will happily arrange for any dietary requirements you’ve noted during booking to be catered for. Please advise your local guide on Day 1 as well. We will provide you with information on how to prepare for your adventure when you register. In addition, we recommend that you consult your GP and a personal trainer to develop a training plan that will prepare you for the challenge.
As part of your training, we recommend making use of your free time to complete several day hikes. You should aim to be able to walk in hilly terrain for 5+ hours comfortably and get up and do it again the next day.
It is sensible to start training as early as possible before you go on your trek.

By registering for the adventure, you agree to raise the minimum fundraising amount specified. Like you, we are looking to make a significant impact for our charity partners, so the goal is for each person to have met their fundraising target before departure. If you fail to raise the minimum fundraising target by this time, we will review the situation on a case-by-case basis.
