Paralympics Logo

Paralympics Australia’s role is to send the strongest and best-prepared Australian Teams to the Summer and Winter Paralympic Games. We also advocate for a more inclusive society, where people with a disability have opportunities to participate and shine in sport and elsewhere.

Australians are passionate about sport. It can inspire us, unite us and be a beacon of hope in dark times. However, of the 4.4 million Australians who live with a disability, only 25 percent participate in sport. Many more say they would to, but feel their access is limited.

Together, we can break down the barriers to participation in sport and help all athletes connect with the training, equipment and facilities that will enable them to realise their potential. It’s the right thing to do – but it takes a lot of resources.

There is a common misconception that the revenue generated by the Australian Olympic Committee extends to Paralympics Australia. Unfortunately, this is not the case. Paralympics Australia’s ability to achieve its goals depends on public support.

Our vision is to create the most successful era of Paralympic sport in Australia’s history. We’re determined to achieve sustainability for the Paralympic Movement to serve generations to come. By supporting Paralympics Australia Kosciuszko Trek 2024, you’re helping raise funds and awareness which will enable more Para-athletes to unlock their extraordinary potential – and maybe even reach the Paralympic Games.

By registering for the adventure, you agree to raise the minimum fundraising amount specified. Like you, we are looking to make a significant impact for our charity partners, so the goal is for each person to have met their fundraising target before departure. If you fail to raise the minimum fundraising target by this time, we will review the situation on a case-by-case basis.

I’m travelling with a friend, can we fundraise together?
