The Difference You'll Make
Right now, more than 100 million people around the world have been made homeless by natural disasters and conflict.
By embarking on the Trek for Shelter Kokoda 2024, you’ll raise awareness about the support ShelterBox Australia provides to communities in need when a crisis strikes.
Over 10 days, challenge yourself to explore the great Kokoda Track, learn about the rich history of Australian soldiers in the Pacific War of WWII whilst trekking through steep mountains, tropical terrain and grasslands. On your way, you’ll visit the pristine villages of the Koiari people, meet and learn from the locals and swim in rivers, water holes and streams for a tropical nature immersion. Get out of your comfort zone whilst raising awareness and funds, which will be used to support disaster-stricken communities in times of need. All funds raised on this epic adventure will go towards supporting ShelterBox Australia.
Hitting your $3,500 fundraising target will mean funding 116 solar lights, 70 water filters, 35 shelter kits, 7 relief tents or 3 complete ShelterBoxes.
