The Difference You'll Make

So Brave logo

5 percent of all women diagnosed with breast cancer this year will be young women. That's 1000 young mothers, daughters, sisters, wives, girlfriends, friends and loved ones. Yet women under 40 lack access to free life-saving breast sceenings and face difficulties in accessing a diagnosis.

As Australia’s only young women’s breast cancer charity, So Brave exists to empower and support young women, advocate for young women and champion critical research so we can reduce the impact of breast cancer in young women.

With so many women expected to receive a breast cancer diagnosis this year, So Brave aims to ensure each young Australian has access to support, resources, and a community to navigate through.

By taking on the Mornington Peninsula Adventure 2024, you’ll stand alongside these courageous women and help to ensure a better future.

When you become a part of the Mornington Peninsula 2024 team, not only will you explore the rugged coastlines, dine at gourmet restaurants, and soak in hot springs, you'll be surrounded by like-minded individuals who share the desire to make a difference.

Join the challenge and help to change the course of breast cancer in young women.

Fitness and training

How do I train for this adventure?

We will provide you with information on how to prepare for your adventure when you register. In addition, we recommend that you consult your GP and a personal trainer to develop a training plan that will prepare you for the challenge.

As part of your training, we recommend making use of your free time to complete several day hikes. You should aim to be able to walk in sandy and hilly terrain for 5+ hours comfortably and get up and do it again the next day.

It is sensible to start training as early as possible before you go on your trek.

Will I be sharing accommodation?

Accommodation on this adventure is based on twin-share. You will be staying in Resort style rooms with the usual amenities included. If you fail to raise the minimum fundraising target by this time, we will review the situation on a case-by-case basis.

I’m travelling with a friend, can we fundraise together?

Absolutely! Fundraising with a friend is a great idea. Just remember the fundraising target is per person, so you will each need to meet the minimum fundraising goal to participate. We know you can do it.
