The Difference You'll Make

Stroke Foundation logo

When you join us on the Stroke Foundation Camino de Santiago Trek 2026, you’re helping us prevent stroke, save lives, and enhance recovery for survivors.

In the next 11 minutes, someone, somewhere in Australia is going to have a stroke. Stroke is one of Australia’s biggest killers and doesn’t discriminate; it affects anyone, anytime. It claims more lives than breast cancer in women and prostate cancer in men. And incredibly, up to 120 babies and 400 children have a stroke in Australia each year.

By fundraising for this trek, you'll support critical programs, including:

Preventing Stroke

  • StrokeSafe Talks: Raising awareness in communities across Australia.
  • Australia's Biggest Blood Pressure Check: Helping Australians monitor and manage their blood pressure.
  • Information Resources: Providing accessible tools to reduce stroke risk.

Saving Lives

  • F.A.S.T. Signs of Stroke Awareness: Educating the public to recognize and act on stroke symptoms.
  • Stroke Management Guidelines: Supporting healthcare providers with the latest stroke treatment guidelines.

Enhancing Recovery

  • StrokeLine: A confidential helpline for survivors and their families.
  • My Stroke Journey: Personalized recovery plans for stroke survivors.
  • EnableMe Website: Practical support for those on the road to recovery.

By participating in this life-changing trek, you're directly supporting these vital initiatives. Join us to make a lasting impact on stroke prevention and recovery.
