Trip notes

Day 1: Jordan Pond Path - Penobscot Mountain Trail

Begin at Jordan Pond House, hiking the Jordan Pond Path (3.3 miles) before tackling the moderate Penobscot Mountain Trail (4 miles). Enjoy panoramic views of the Atlantic and surrounding islands.

Day 2: Precipice Trail - Ocean Path

Take on the challenging Precipice Trail (1.6 miles) with iron rungs and ladders for an exhilarating climb up Champlain Mountain. Connect to the Beehive Trail loop (1.4 miles) and finish with the Ocean Path (4 miles) along the scenic coastline.

Day 3: Cadillac Moutain South Ridge Trail - Witch Hole Pond Loop

Explore the Cadillac Mountain South Ridge Trail (7.1 miles) for sunrise views. Descend via the North Ridge Trail and complete your trek with the peaceful Witch Hole Pond Loop (3.3 miles).

Day 4: Gorham Mountain Loop - Great Head Trail

Hike the Gorham Mountain Loop (3.5 miles) combined with the Great Head Trail (1.7 miles). End your trek at Thunder Hole and Sand Beach.
