Trip notes

Day 1: Logan Pass - Granite Park Chalet

Start at Logan Pass on the Highline Trail (7.6 miles) to Granite Park Chalet, following the Continental Divide with views of glaciers and possible mountain goat sightings.

Day 2: The Loop - Grinnell Glacier Trail

Descend to the Loop (4 miles), then take the shuttle to Many Glacier area to hike the Grinnell Glacier Trail (7.6 miles), seeing crystal blue lakes and active glaciers.

Day 3: Pitamakan-Dawson Loop

Tackle the Pitamakan-Dawson Loop (18.5 miles) - a challenging but rewarding day with dramatic alpine scenery (can be split into two days if preferred).

Day 4: Iceberg Lake Trail

Hike the Iceberg Lake Trail (9.7 miles) to see floating icebergs in the lake basin below towering cliffs, with excellent wildlife viewing opportunities.
