Trip notes

Day 1: South Kaibab Trail to Bright Angel

Descend the South Kaibab Trail (7 miles) to Bright Angel Campground at the Colorado River. The trail offers expansive, open views of the canyon.

Day 2: Ribbon Falls

Rest day with short hikes to Ribbon Falls (6 miles round trip) or explore along the Clear Creek Trail (3 miles round trip).

Day 3: Bright Angel Trail - Indian Garden

Begin your ascent via the Bright Angel Trail, stopping at Indian Garden Campground (4.7 miles) for your final night in the canyon.

Day 4: Indian Garden - South Rim

Complete your canyon experience hiking from Indian Garden to the South Rim (4.5 miles), taking time at Plateau Point for a final panoramic view.
