The Challenge
Did you know - each year in Australia, more than 6,500 women are diagnosed with gynaecological cancer and this number is increasing annually?
To support these women and fund further research into gynaecological cancer, the Cherish Women’s Cancer Foundation and their supporters will set off in September 2023 to summit Mount Kilimanjaro. Are you ready to join them?
This incredible adventure will take place over nine days, with you and your team trekking the Rongai route, the only trail approaching Kilimanjaro from the north, close to the Kenyan border. Marvel at the scenery and wildlife as you hike, camp beneath starry skies and know that you’re helping to fund vital research that will result in kinder and more effective gynaecological cancer treatments for women.
The Difference You'll Make
Each year in Australia, 6,500 women are diagnosed with gynaecological cancers. One third of these women will not do well. Cherish Women's Cancer Foundation commits funding to clinical trials and vital research into gynaecological cancer for the sake of the women we cherish - our grandmothers, mothers, aunts, sisters, daughters.
Join inspiring women like Paula (photo above) and take on the challenge to raise awareness and funds for gynaecological cancer research.
Since 2012, Cherish has invested more than $1 million into gynaecological cancer research to find kinder ways to treat women with this disease.
On the 2023 Cherish Challenge to Climb Kilimanjaro, you’ll give hope to the thousands of women who are being treated for gynaecological cancer, now and in the future. They often face unnecessary stigma and embarrassment, but by supporting Cherish, you’re saying to each of them, “I am with you.”
The money you raise during the trek will support clinical trials, research and new studies. You’ll be helping to save lives and increasing awareness about gynaecological cancer.
