The Challenge

Suicide doesn’t discriminate. Across Australia, eight people die by suicide every day and at least another 30 attempt to end their own life.

Every one of these lives lost represents a partner, child, parent, friend or workmate.

Join Conquer Kozi 2023 and every step you take to the summit will help R U OK? inspire and empower meaningful connections and conversations with anyone struggling with life.

As part of this incredible adventure, you’ll trek Australia’s only true alpine region to the summit of Mount Kosciuszko. Following well-worn tracks under the light of the stars, you’ll trek through subalpine meadow, past snow-weathered gums and around granite outcrops carved by glacial waters, along a gently winding path to the summit.

Best of all, with every step you take, you’ll raise vital funds to inspire regular, meaningful conversations every day of the year, and ultimately change lives.

The Difference You'll Make

charity-logo-286x98px

It’s not always easy to continue a conversation when someone says they’re not ok. But we all have a role to play to ensure we’re all connected and protected from suicide.

R U OK?’s mission is to empower people to meaningfully connect and lend support by building the motivation, confidence and skills of help-givers to start conversations with anyone struggling with life. But they need your support.

charity-image-670x400px

89 per cent of people report knowing someone who has made a suicide attempt. It’s a shocking statistic, but together we can change it. As part of Conquer Kozi 2023, you’ll fund nation-wide programs and services that help better prepare people for life-changing conversations.

With every step you take to the summit, the funds you raise could:

  • Create new campaigns and free resources to inspire regular, meaningful conversations
  • Expand R U OK?’s reach to support more schools, workplaces and communities
  • Conduct more rigorous research and evaluation to continually improve R U OK?’s work

By educating and encouraging people to take the time to ask “Are you ok?”, we can help people struggling with life feel connected and supported long before they think about suicide.
