How their Tasmanian Inspired Adventure smashed ROI
With wildfires raging across Europe and public pressure on the Australian Government to reduce climate pollution in line with the rest of the world, climate change remains a hot topic ahead of the October 2021 G20 Summit.
The Climate Council is leading the charge for climate change in Australia, providing expert advice to the Australian public and offering solutions based on science.
In March this year, they embarked on an Inspired Adventure to Tasmania to take action against the worsening climate crisis and support their extreme weather work.
The adventure was so popular that a second departure was announced, and both adventures filled well in advance, with 34 participants in total.
“The treks were the first fundraising trips I worked on and it was great to have support from Inspired Adventures,” says Ellyce from the Climate Council.
“The team was always prepared to help, and I’m so grateful for how well we worked together to deliver a great experience for our supporters and an amazing fundraising outcome.”
The combined fundraising total for the two departures was over $147,600 – more than double the anticipated fundraising goal.

And more importantly, the teams felt like they had created their own special community and connections with each other over their shared concern for climate change.
