Corporate Challenge Case Studies
Scenic Rim Challenge
Over three days in July 2024, a group of DUAL employees from across Australia and New Zealand came together to hike 31 kilometres of the rugged and remote mountains and Gondwana Rainforests in the Scenic Rim. The team of 11 raised over $35,000 for the Indigenous Literacy Foundation, a national charity working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander to supply culturally relevant books and learning resources to children and families living in remote Communities across Australia.
"Our adventure was more than just a physical challenge – it was an opportunity to connect with colleagues we don’t always work closely with, sharing stories and lots of laughter along the way. We gained a deeper appreciation of Indigenous culture and the cultural significance of the land we visited, learning about the history and traditions that make the Scenic Rim so special." ~ Emily Coates, DUAL Asia Pacific

Vietnam to Cambodia
SBS partnered with Inspired Adventures to create the SBS Race for Refugees, a cycling odyssey from Vietnam to Cambodia. SBS invited several of their media agency partners to participate by entering teams of four, who were tasked with fundraising for Australia for UNHCR while training for this adventure of a lifetime. Sixteen employees from SBS and media agencies transformed themselves into fundraising cyclists and pushed their physical boundaries to the limit by cycling over 400km in unseasonably hot weather in Cambodia and Vietnam. Each team rose to the occasion and collectively they raised over $50,000 for Australia for UNHCR’s Emergency Response Program, united as a team and forged friendships for life.
The SBS Race for Refugees was a truly remarkable experience. Since the adventure we have formed great friendships with our clients that go beyond just work. The adventure itself was a once in a lifetime experience and one we will all treasure for the rest of our lives. The organisation of the trip was superb and the experiences were those that you would not ever find just travelling the beaten track and major cities. The hard yards of training and fundraising in the end made the trip something we earned and this, I think made it that much more special. Inspired Adventures were great in getting the concept up off the ground given this was the first time we had ever attempted something like this. I would recommend an Inspired Adventure to anyone. ~ Dan Richtor, SBS”
