Inspiration can come from many places. For some, it’s watching explorers scale Mt Everest against a backdrop of soaring peaks and flapping prayer flags. For others, it’s watching their sister scale the front doorstep after six months of chemotherapy.
At Inspired Adventures, we believe the most powerful inspiration comes from moments both big and small, like the encouraging squeeze of a hand or a thankful smile, that spur us on to boldly go further and better. Our adventures take you far from your comfort zone, and encourage you to walk in the shoes of those who need support.
Our travellers are survivors, allies, champions, and advocates – all united by a shared belief that kindness, generosity, and a little dose of inspiration, is all it takes to be the change we want to see in the world.
Come with us, and travel for good.
Be inspired by Tony
“To help sick kids and their families going through the worst time in their life is, it’s amazing to be a part of that.”
Few would have guessed that the teenager who started out mopping floors at Ronald McDonald’s House would grow to become a Board Member of the charity, but that is what happened to Tony. His mother taught him about hard work and the incalculable value of helping those in need.
Fast forward a few decades and Tony is passing these lessons on to his own daughter, with the duo tackling Australia’s iconic Larapinta Trail together so that other parents can be by their child’s side during critical medical treatment.
Be inspired by Pio
“You’re never the same. You never move on. You just move forward.”
For New Zealand actor and presenter, Pio, the loss of his teenage son to leukemia was headline news. Grieving in the public spotlight was hard, but by talking about his loss and sharing his grief, Pio was able to support other parents whose children had also ‘flown away’.
To thank the Make A Wish Foundation for brightening his son’s life, Pio travelled to China and found an experience that embodied all the principles of rongoā, traditional Maori healing.
Be inspired by Alexia
“I'm Alexia – I’m a foodie, a go-go-go type of person, I love to travel, and I have multiple sclerosis.”
When Alexia had an opportunity to travel to China in October 2019 and raise money for a cause that has impacted her and her family, she jumped at it.
MS Australia had organised a trip with Inspired Adventures called Kiss Goodbye To MS, where Alexia and a group of like-minded fundraisers would travel through China with a local guide, culminating in an unforgettable trek along the Great Wall of China. Each participant would raise money for MS Australia and the funds would go towards research that helps create the type of treatments and medication options that Alexia had available to her...
